I miss the older, boxier Volvo wagons.

My base model ‘02 V70 looks quite flabby in comparison to this. Those wheels would do wonders for it, though they’d most likely run me more than I paid for the wagon itself.

No flappy paddles?  Sometimes I use them to spice up my drive in the V60.  What I think it really needs is a Polestar tune.

They aren’t too bad, really. Biggest problem with those Pegasus wheels is that they are soft and bend easily.

No flappy paddles on mine. I don’t know if it was an option but it would be nice at times. I do use the manual mode quite a bit because automatics infuriate me.

Actually the only other gripe I have with it is that you can’t go seamlessly from D to M — you have to put it in S then tap either + or - to change gear before you get manual.

I’m pretty sure you can add the paddle shifter steering wheel, though I doubt it’s cheap.

I wasn’t too impressed with the paddles as they had a long delay in shifting. I then had a transmission flush and they reset the transmission module and it’s night and day. Nice quick shifts now. You can use them in the regular mode as well.

I'm actually pretty happy with the transmission in Sport mode. I think it handles itself well.

I was wondering if they could be added. Probably $$$$ though as you say.

Shifting is quick enough for me except the 1-2 shift is quite delayed. You really have to hit + immediately or the revs get obnoxiously high even when driving gently.

Actually the whole thing seems a little less smooth than it should be, think a flush would help?

I was pretty happy with the results of the flush. I could definitely tell a difference in the paddles and that made it worth it to me. I did mine at about 60,000 miles and will probably keep doing it at regular intervals. I think they reset the adaptives and updated the software. If I recall the service was about $170.

Ha just hit 60k and I have to take it in for the door latch recall someday , think I’ll have them do that too.
